The Green Turn and Science's Loss of Credibility

The trial of Galileo

My translation:
... [O]ne of the most far reaching consequences of the Energiewende ... : the loss of credibility suffered by scientific research.

Experts at almost all research institutes attempt with all their might to bend physics and the natural laws to justify the Energiewende retrospectively [now that it defines the boundaries of political correctness in "science".]

Only few independent scientists dare to make controversial pronouncements.

[I was absolutely stunned when a well-known German scientist recently confided to me that he and a number of his collegues were afraid to publish their results or vent their truly held views in the face of pressure — threatening their livelihood — from fellow academics, students, the university administration, politicians, and the public.]

Critics are being muzzled with brute force. The media are not much better, obtrusively chanting songs of praise for the Energiewende.
