Bag It (1) — How They Fool You With Plastic Bans

The average political consumer has no concern for the environment, let alone the patience to do justice to environmental issues by studying them carefully. Instead, she is eager to recycle easy to digest magical stories satisfying her craving for safely concealed self-righteousness. Politics is happy to oblige by fostering and institutionalising the requisite lies — in return for political correctness.

The below was excerpted from here.

A couple of days ago, following new headlines about Britain’s growing and toxic plastic waste mountain,  we republished public health expert Mikko Paunio’s analysis of the causes of this crisis [which no one will read, as everyone knows the truth courtesey of the established media, IGTU].
Now a short film based on a report that he has written for the Global Warming Policy Foundation is available to view.
He shows that the EU’s green policy, regulations and efforts to recycle plastic are a major cause of the marine litter problem. Rather than solving problems they have just exported them. The EU’s policy is in fact one of illegal dumping disguised as recycling.
He goes on to set out the case for incinerating waste rather than trying to ban or recycle it.
It should be shown in every school as the basis for a proper debate on environmental policies as well as our own moral responsibilities – but I am not holding my breath.
