Religious greens are dangerous, but they are also comical. When a mind is corseted by dogmas and conceits it can't fail to become incompetent, as reality is neither driven by nor will it yield to fact-denying figments.

Electric cars may use electricity but they run on coal which generates electricity. There are countless potentially comical signs of incompetence among members of the green church. Apparently, one of their fetishes, the bike, has an embarrassing footprint of CO2-emissions that makes it actually greener to drive a car than to ride a bicycle.

We are told CO2 emissions from the life-cycle process of producing a sandwich is equal to that of driving a car 12 miles. The question, then, is how far will the calories in that sandwich take you on a bike? ...

 

The bicyclist would need to eat 1.3 sandwiches to go 12 miles. That is, the CO2 footprint of riding a sandwich-fueled bike would be 30 percent higher than driving a car.
