Saving the Planet

In Germany they make the poor subsidise (the use of "Green" technology by) the rich, and increase the country's CO2 footprint by employing so-called "renewable" energy (as if energy were renewable) requiring greater use of coal-fired plants to compensate for irregular availability of wind and solar generated energy. In short: not only are the costs of green energy schemes astronomical, they actually enhance the putative culprit (CO2), into the bargain. And if they did work, Germany's contribution to the lowering of global temperatures would be of infinitesimal effect — assuming that the theory according to which CO2 drives temperatures were actually true, which it is not.
