Deutschlands Rolle bei der Senkung der CO2-Emisssionen wird zwar oft als extrem wichtig von den Grünen aller Parteien und deren Medien hervorgehoben, hält aber einer realistischen Betrachtung in keiner Weise stand. Mit nur 2,2 % der weltweiten, durch den Menschen verursachten, CO2-Emissionen, ist Deutschland fast Schlusslicht unter allen wichtigen Industrienationen. 

Nimmt man die gewaltigen natürlichen CO2-Emissionen hinzu, beträgt der menschliche Anteil daran insgesamt nur marginale 2 bis 4 %. 

[Weswegen ich mich schon immer gefragt habe, warum die Zunahme an CO2, die für steigende CO2-Konzentrationen verantwortlich ist, ausschließlich dem von Menschen erzeugten CO2 Ausstoß zugeschrieben wird. I.G.T.U.] 

Bezogen darauf schrumpft der deutsche Anteil daran auf winzige ca. 0,08 %.

Da aber nur maximal die Hälfte des emittierten CO2 in der Luft verbleibt, beträgt also der gesamte deutsche Beitrag ganze 0,04 % an den globalen evtl. klimawirksamen CO2-Emissionen.

Das sind in absoluten Werten 450 Mio. Tonnen (t). Bekanntlich beträgt die gegenwärtige Konzentration des Spurengases CO2 in der Luft – und nur die hat evtl. einen Einfluss auf die Temperatur – etwa 0,04 Vol %. oder 400 ppm (parts per million).

In absoluten Werten sind das aktuell rd. 3.000 Gigatonnen (Gt) oder 3.000.000 Mio. t CO2.

Diese steigt jährlich um 2 ppm oder 15 Gt an. Davon sind max. 450 Mio. t oder 0,45 Gt deutschen Ursprungs. Das sind nur 0,015 % oder 0,06 ppm von der Gesamtmenge CO2 in der Atmosphäre.

Ob dieser deutsche Anteil nun um 10%, 20% oder 40% oder gar 100 % abgesenkt werden würde, ist für das Weltklima völlig und in jeder denkbaren Variante, so oder so, völlig irrelevant, für Deutschland als Industriestandort aber tödlich.

Anders herum gilt auch: Wer da von einem wichtigen Beitrag Deutschlands an der Senkung der CO2-Emissionen redet, kann nicht nur nicht rechnen, sondern redet Unsinn oder bringt – neudeutsch – mit voller Absicht Fake News unter die Leute.

In the above statement Michael Limburg explains why the hugely expensive efforts at reducing CO2 emissions in Germany would still be utterly futile even if the erroneous theory behind the hysterical calls for reductions were correct. The facts are:

Germany emits only 2,2% of worldwide human generated CO2 output, thus being among the least profuse emitters among industrial countries.

Further, human emissions make up no more than 2-4% of the entire volume of emissions on our planet, which is dominated by natural/extra-human sources. 

(This is why I have always been asking myself why humans are credited with the entirety of the additonal CO2 emissions that drive higher concentration levels.)

This makes the German contribution to overall CO2 in the atmosphere a mere 0.08%. Only half of which remains in the air, reducing the German contribution to 0.04% of that part of global CO2 emissions which are said by proponents of anthropogenic global warming to affect the climate. Which amounts to 450 million tonnes.

The current absolute level of CO2 concentration in the air worldwide is c. 3,000 gigatonnes or 3,000,000 million tonnes of CO2.

With additions every year to the tune of 2 ppm (= 15 gigatonnes), the German contribution is 450 million tonness or 0.45 gigatonnes. That is 0.015% or 0.06 ppm of the entire volume of CO2 gobally.

Whether this minute German portion is reduced by 10%, 20%, 40% or even 100% is absolutely irrelevant as far as the effect on climate goes. However, such levels of reduction are lethal for Germany's industrial base.

Those who claim that Germany's contribution to reduced CO2 levels is significant and important in its effect on "climate protection" are simply not telling the truth.
